Raccoon pizza chef Reggie Reggiano and his family sing about the pizza-making process in this rollicking and rhyming picture book. Join Reggie, Ruby, Riley, and Roddy as they make a fresh pizza from scratch in their home kitchen. Each family member contributes their own part to helping make the finished product. And when it's ready, they all sit down to eat their hot pizza together at the dinner table.
Learn about action verbs like kneading, chopping, rolling, slicing and so much more throughout the story. Kids, parents, teachers, librarians, chefs, or anyone who loves making or just eating pizza will surely have loads of fun and laughs acting out the steps of the pizza-making process! Create your own hand gestures for each verb to pretend like you're making your own pizza along with the Reggianos. It might be cheesy, but this is one delicious book.
Marshall S. Thompson's love of pizza started as a child, fueled by personal pan pizzas and ninja turtles. When he studied in Rome, Italy, he was known to eat pizza for breakfast, lunch, and dinner on some days. And when he lived in New York City, he regularly rode his bicycle to some of the most beloved and historic pizza shops around the five boroughs to sample the best pies in town. He currently lives in New England and is still on a never-ending quest to find the perfect slice.
