Author Bio

Sarah Giddy has been imagining stories and drawing the pictures ever since she could hold a pencil. She has a Bachelor of Visual Arts & Design and won the Deans Award for most outstanding major work her year the illustrated novel now called Flight of the Drakkonbarq. Sarah finds childrens books magical and would love to work in publishing. In her art and writing, she leans toward things that are beautiful, like the feeling of climbing a tree with a friend, or watching a dragonfly hatch, or knowing that you belong. When not writing or illustrating, Sarah spends her days teaching art to small children. She also enjoys splashing in the ocean and playing with her pets Mr. Darcy the greyhound, Waffles the cat, and three fish who all answer to Fishy.
