Lily has just celebrated her twelfth birthday when an earthquake rattles her home in San Francisco's Chinatown in 1906. Soon fires break out around the city. Separated from her parents Lily must help her younger brother and neighbor navigate their way through the burning city.
Veeda Bybee grew up collecting passport stamps and dreaming of castles in far off places. A daughter of Asian immigrants, she has been writing and drawing pictures since she was seven years old. A former journalist, she has an MFA in Creative Writing from the Vermont College of Fine Arts. She lives in Nevada with her family where she reads, writes and bakes. Alessia was Born in southern Italy in 1990 but she grew up in Rome, where she still lives. She has wanted to be an illustrator since she was a child. After a Degree in the Animation course of the International School of Comics based in Rome in 2013, Alessia has worked as Background Artist for some of the most important roman animation studios. She currently works as a freelance artist on various Animation and illustration projects.
