A happy-go-lucky ladybug is taken on an adventure. She is wandering around in a paper bag when a sudden wind lifts the bag in the air. She enjoys the ride and her exciting, surprise adventure.
When the bag lands, Ladybug recovers her balance and leaves the bag. The first thing she sees is a
Bluejay perched on a broken branch. Bird shows no interest in Ladybug, and continues to stare at the sky.
Ladybug tries to engage the bird in a conversation while she takes in her surroundings. Throughout the story, emergent readers will spot the words "bag, beg, big, bog and bug." These three-letter words give the correct pronunciation of the short vowel sounds.
Charlene worked with Kindergartners for years, years ago. They are her people.
