Reviews

".... Tomas and the Galapagos Adventure is filled with hope, excitement, anticipation, and beautiful visions of creatures in the sea and on the Galapagos Islands. The narrative is also enriched with Spanish words and expressions. Children age 5 and up will love reading this latest title in the Little Adventures Series." -- Midwest Book Review
"...Although it is done with admirable subtlety, Tomas and the Galapagos Adventure is finally an excellent tribute to naturalism, one that will give readers a very fine introduction to places on the earth that remain rich with abundant natural resources and that call out for preservation and protection. A great, intelligent, and artful book -- truly an adventure worth taking!" -- The Children's Book Review
"This is a fun story that awakens the imagination and salts the lips with whispers of what if" -- Story Monsters Ink
"K-Gr 2Readers discover two new worlds through the eyes of young Tomas, one in which he lives every day (Ecuador) and one that he visits in a dream (Galpagos). Rades's illustrations are bright and inviting, especially the spread of exotic animals. The book includes end pages with some facts about Ecuador and some common Spanish phrases. VERDICT: A solid choice for introducing elements of culture from Ecuador or the Galpagos Islands, primarily in one-on-one reading or integrated into a classroom lesson." -- Megan Egbert, Meridian Library District, School Library Journal
"Filled with hope, excitement, anticipation, and beautiful visions of creatures in the sea and on the Galapagos Islands." -- Midwest Book Review
"A great, intelligent, and artful book -- truly an adventure worth taking! " -- Children's Book Review
