Paddington, the bear from Darkest Peru, who was found lost on Paddington station, is back with new covers and a brighter look to bring him up to date. Paddington's skill as a tailor is shown to be somewhat less than adequate in this story -- by the time Paddington has finished with Mr Curry's trousers, the Browns' neighbour doesn't know whether he is coming or going. And Paddington's birthday treat doesn't exactly turn out as the Browns had planned either. A pleasant day at the seaside ends with Paddington flying through the air! This unforgettable bear is as trouble-prone as ever in this latest reissue in the Paddington library.
Praise for the Paddington series: 'I've always had great respect for Paddington! He is a British institution.' Stephen Fry 'Paddington has joined Pooh as one of the great bears of English children's literature.' The Teacher 'Michael Bond's accident-prone bear!has become one of the most enduring of children's characters.' The Bookseller 'I've always had great respect for Paddington. He is a British institution.' Stephen Fry
