Author Bio

Valerie Tripp (Yale 73; Harvard GSE 82) is the award-winning author of American Girl books about Felicity, Josefina, Samantha, Kit, Molly, and Maryellen as well as the Welliewisher and Hopscotch Hill School series. Currently, Tripp is writing a STEM series for National Geographic Kids. She is has adapted classics for Starry Forest Publishers, and has written numerous leveled readers, songs, stories, skills book pages, poems, and plays for educational publishers. Carlo Molinari was born in Santeramo, Italy, where he grew up and now lives. All his life, he's had a passion for comics, especially those drawn realistically in a personal style. He began his education at the Liceo Artistico and went on to study painting at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Bari. In his spare time, he dances Argentine Tango. If he werent an artist, he would be a handyman, actor, or dancera character from a Moebius or Micheluzzi comic strip. He likes to listen to jazz, rock, and classical music while he works and taught himself English purely by using computer software.
