Kate Douglas Wiggin(September 28, 1856August 24, 1923) was an American educator and author of childrens stories, most notably the classic childrens novelRebecca of Sunnybrook Farm. She devoted her adult life to the welfare of children and worked closely with her sister, Nora A. Smith.
Nora Archibald Smith(18591934) was an American childrens author of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, and sister of Kate Douglas Wiggin. Nora and Kate coauthored and coedited a series of childrens books.
Maxfield Parrish(July 25, 1870March 30, 1966) was an American painter and illustrator active in the first half of the twentieth century. He is known for his distinctive saturated hues and idealized neo-classical imagery.
