He learns how to hunt and how to speak the languages of the jungle creatures. As he embarks on a series of thrilling escapades, Mowgli encounters such unforgettable creatures as Bagheera, the graceful black panther, Baloo the kindly brown bear, and Kaa, the deadly snake with the hypnotic stare.
But Mowgli is a man, and he knows that one day he must take his place among his own kind. First, he must face his life-long enemy, Shere Khan, in a battle of wits and strength to discover who is the true King of the Jungle.
