'I will do it tomorrow. How often we all do so and what a pity it is that when morning comes and tomorrow is today we so frequently wake up feeling quite differently. . . ' Katy Carr intends to be beautiful and beloved and as sweet as an angel one day. For now, though, her hair is always in a tangle, her dress is always torn and she doesn't care at all for being called 'good'. But then a terrible accident happens and Katy must find the courage to remember her daydreams and the delightful plans she once schemed!
Susan Coolidge (Author) Susan Coolidge (1835-1905) was born Sarah Chauncey Woolsey in Ohio, USA. She worked as a nurse during the American Civil War, after which she started to write. She is best known for her classic children's novel What Katy Did , which was modelled on her own family, and its four sequels- What Katy Did at School, What Katy Did Next, Clover and In the High Valley. Cathy Cassidy (Introducer) Cathy Cassidy wrote her first picture book for her little brother when she was eight or nine and has been writing fabulous stories ever since. Cathy is the bestselling author of Dizzy, Driftwood, Indigo Blue, Scarlett, Sundae Girl, Lucky Star, Ginger Snaps, Looking-Glass Girl, Broken Heart Club, the Chocolate Box Series (including Cherry Crush, Marshmallow Skye, Summer's Dream, Coco Caramel, Sweet Honey, Fortune Cookie and Life is Sweet) and the first three instalments in the Lost and Found Series, Love From Lexie, Sami's Silver Lining and Sasha's Secret. Cathy lives in North Wales with her family, and of all the many jobs she's had she loves writing best - it's the perfect excuse to daydream, after all.
