Description

An inspiring and profoundly moving story about speaking up for yourself from acclaimed author and kid activist Bellen Woodard, creator of the More than Peach project.

Bellen Woodard adores ballet and can't wait to attend her next class. Though when it's time to buy her uniform, she begins to notice that pink leotards, pink shoes, and white tights don't represent her and other girls of color. How about brown leotards and brown tights And what about brown shoes When her dance studio refuses to act, Bellen takes matters into her own hands.

This second inspirational picture book from Bellen Woodard is all about standing up for what you believe in, even if the right decision is a difficult one.
