Papa Thom is the nom de plume for Dr. Thom E. Lobe, an internationally recognized pediatric surgeon who is about to be a grandfather to his second grandchild.

Thom has dedicated his professional career to the care of children around the globe and to teaching medical students, resident physicians, and surgeons the innovative techniques in minimally invasive and robotic surgery.

A native of Baltimore but currently residing in Chicago, Illinois, he is best known to his granddaughter Emma as Papa Thom.
