Description

A breathtaking fantasy-adventure trilogy. Do you dare step into the Realm A magical journey awaits . . . Long ago (or maybe it was yesterday) in the depths of the cool dark bush, under fallen trees and lime-green moss, lived an ancient magic. A magic that, despite what you might imagine, did not belong there at all. It especially didn't belong at a 10-year-old's house. Tane was looking for adventure as he raced through the bush after school one day. What he was not looking for was a Story Spirit- yep, he met some kind of ghost-kid with a cheeky grin and swirling colours, looking like a whole universe was trapped inside them. But the Story Spirit is stuck, and urgently needs Tane and Sibyl's help . . . only finishing a story will get them back home. Sounds easy, right But spirits aren't real . . . are they And how can telling a story change a real-life ending And when does a story become a lie The first in a magical new adventure series for kids aged eight-and-up, join Sibyl and Tane on the quest of a lifetime uncovering a powerful storytelling force along the way.

Author Bio

Brooke Scobie (Author) Brooke Scobie is a queer, auDHD, First Nations mum, author and poet that lives on Darkinjung land. Ever since she was very little, Brooke has loved books and stories. Which, of course, makes sense as she grew up with a mum whose favourite thing was her overflowing bookcase and reading before bed. Brooke is most passionate about creating stories and worlds where weird, wonderful kids and adults of all shapes and sizes can see themselves in magical places, on extraordinary adventures! She hopes that one day every child that reads her stories will know they can be a storyteller too. Brooke has brown hair, most of the time, though it's also been pink, blue, green and purple. She loves swimming in the ocean, big bags of chips and fart jokes. Jade Goodwin (Illustrator) Jade Goodwin is a First Nations illustrator based in Australia. Jade's creative journey began at an early age in her grandparents' screen-printing studio, where she would spend an endless amount of time crafting anything she could from studio supplies. Her passion for creativity and illustration grew over time, eventually leading to a successful career in the children's publishing industry. Building on her debut publishing contract in 2021, Jade has expanded her portfolio by signing contracts for another twenty-one books. Jade loves bringing imagination to life through her sweet and bright illustrations. She hopes to inspire children and adults alike.
