Description

In this twist-filled fantasy adventure set in the world of Take Back the Skies and The Almost King, a young man must choose between two faces: dangerous master of shadows or beloved of the future queen. Noah is the finest mask-maker in all of Erova. He is responsible and loyal, and has won the heart and hand of the future queen. Daniel is dangerous and daring. Infamous. He prowls the filthy rooftops of the maze-like lower city in search of secrets and crime. Its people, hungry and forgotten, have come to need him. Noah and Daniel are the same person, and Daniels life is beginning to tangle with Noahs, ensnaring the people he loves in a complex web of deception and heartbreak that will become deadly unless Noah can decide once and for all who he really wants to be.

Reviews

This absolutely cracking debut novel from Lucy Saxon ... is a delicious cocktail incorporating steampunk, His Dark Materials and George Orwell ... About as good a YA adventure as you'll see all year * SFX on Take Back the Skies *
A fab fantasy debut from an exciting young author * Company on Take Back the Skies *

Author Bio

Lucy Saxon is a cosplayer, book-lover, con-goer and all-round nerdgirl. Her first novel, Take Back the Skies, was published when she was just nineteen. She gets a lot of her best writing done in the dead of night and sometimes wakes up in the morning with keyboard prints on her face. When shes not writing shes playing video games, walking her dog or yelling at fabric until it behaves. She spends part of each year wrangling horses on a ranch in Arkansas. Most of the time though, she lives in Hertfordshire with her parents and her brother.
