Description

When ten-year-old Nirjery Webber arrives in the U.S. from India, trouble greets her. Kids tease her about her Indian culture, she can't make friends, there's conflict with her mom, and absence seizures caused by epilepsy complicate everything. Just when she feels like she's juggling fireballs, she buys a newt at a yard sale. Turns out, he's no ordinary newt. He's a two-foot talking, dancing magical newt. Unfortunately, he cannot stay.
