Yasmeen bint Ahmad has a BA from the University of Roehampton in Early Childhood Studies focusing on disabled children in literature, and an MA from UCL in Sociology of Childhood and Children's Rights. This is Ahmads first middle-grade novel having previously written four picture books and a YA novel about differently abled children.
