Two double-page spreads towards the end of the book are particularly memorable: Murphy leaping off a leaf into the cool green pond, and then Murphy, lonely, staring wistfully into the starry night. Robert Favretto lives on the Mornington Peninsula where he is a primary school teacher. He enjoys writing stories that encourage children to become passionate readers. Home of the Cuckoo Clock is his first picture book.
