Description

Little Louie is stuck in bed with a bad cold. His nose is clogged, his ears are crackling, and his brain feels full. All he wants is his mom to take care of him, but whenever he calls out for her, his stuffed-up nose summons slobbery dog Bob instead!

Author Bio

Audrey Vernick is the author of over twenty books for young readers, including Unlike Other Monsters, Is Your Buffalo Ready for Kindergarten, First Grade Dropout, and Scarlet's Tale, as well as Bob, Not Bob! and Dear Substitute, which she cowrote with Liz Garton Scanlon. She received a 2019 Fellowship from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts. When she feels drippy and gross, she likes to snuggle with her dog, who is not named Bob. Audrey writes from her home near the ocean, and you can find her online at www.audreyvernick.com.

Liz Garton Scanlon (http: //lizgartonscanlon.com/) is the author of many beloved children's books, including All the World, illustrated by Marla Frazee, which won a Caldecott Honor, and her debut middle-grade novel The Great Good Summer. She lives with her family in Austin, Texas. She's all grown up now, but sometimes when she's sick she still wants her bob.

Matthew Cordell is the author and illustrator of many celebrated picture books, including Hello, Neighbor!: The Kind and Caring World of Mister Rogers, and Wolf in the Snow, recipient of the 2018 Caldecott Medal. As an illustrator he has collaborated with many more authors including Gail Carson Levine, Philip C. Stead, and Rebecca Kai Dotlich. Matthew lives with his wife, author Julie Halpern, and their two children in suburban Chicago. But when he's sick, Matthew acts like the biggest baby in the house. (Just ask Julie.)
