Anne Morgan has taught in Tasmania, the Northern Territory and China. She has also worked as a professional actor, journalist and freelance writer. Besides the CAPTAIN CLAWBEAK series she has written WARTS N ALL and THE GLOW WORM CAVE, which was shortlisted for the Environment Children's Literature Award 2000. She is currently a PhD candidate in creative writing at Edith Cowan University, Western Australia. About the Illustrator- Award-winning illustrator and designer, Wayne Harris, is well-known for the depth and quality of his work. His picture books include ONE HAPPY HIPPO, JUDY AND THE VOLCANO and THE HOUSE OF NARCISSUS (with Margaret Wild). Wayne lives in Sydney.
