Description

Chicken Soup for the Soul BABIES imparts good values through heartwarming and humourous stories to help little ones put their best foot forward. Chick and Lamb want to play outside, but it's raining. Once the rain stops, Lamb struggles to put on rain boots. As Lamb laments "I can't!", Chick replies, "Keep trying!" Then Chick is struggling to jump over the rain puddles. As Chick cries, "I can't!", Lamb replies, "Keep trying!" As they congratulate each other for their determination, a rainbow arcs above them. This lighthearted board book playfully addresses perseverance. A warm and winning message for little ones!

Author Bio

Andrea J. Loney's works include the Caldecott Honor winning picture book Double Bass Blues, the Lee and Low New Voices Award winning and an NAACP Award nominated picture book biography Take a Picture of Me, James Vanderzee!, the picture book Bunnybear, an ALA Rainbow List title VIP Stacey Abrams- Voting Visionary. Her work can also be found in the critically-acclaimed children's poetry anthology No Voice Too Small. Her other titles include Curve and Flow- The Elegant Vision of LA Architect Paul R. Williams and futuristic chapter book series Abby in Orbit. Hazel Quintanilla studied graphic design and illustration. She enjoys putting the bold colors and cute shapes living in her mind on paper. Hazel has produced work for numerous brands and magazines, as well as illustrating over one hundred children's books published around the world. She's the proud mom to nine dogs and lives in Guatemala with her husband.
