Reviews

[Emme's] parents are splitting up, and her best friends are fighting. She looks to find peace by working in a new, possibly enchanted, bakery and putting love rather than pain into her creations. (If you like this book, make sure to check out the others in the Dessert Diaries series, too).-- "New Moon Girls, Lacey Recommends"
One of the things I liked best about this story was a poem that Emme wrote. I won't copy the whole thing, but the first line reads, "Happy Anniversary time is here; You are both so very dear." . . .this is a good story that I think girls ages eight to ten would probably really enjoy.-- "Kids' Book Buzz/San Francisco Book Review"
Sweet both literally and figuratively, this series revolves around a special bakery and baker named Daisy who makes a difference in the lives of her customers. In this story, Emme is struggling with her parents separation and her argumentative two best friends. Daisy knows just what to cook and to say to help Emme find peace with her situation. I really liked that the ending was realistic...-- "Imagination Soup"
