Description

Doctors are Sissies is a children's book meant to reduce anxiety and nervousness for children visiting the doctor. By turning the (examining) table, the book shows, through humor and rhyme, that kids can quell the fears of their scaredy-cat doctor.

Author Bio

Vinay Kamat, MD, FACP, has published poetry and prose in Journal of American Medical Association, Annals of Internal Medicine, Karamu, Problem Child, Yale Journal of Humanities and Medicine, Blood and Thunder: Musings on the Art of Medicine, Oklahoma University School of Medicine, and Dartmouth Medical School's Lifelines. Trying not to be a sissy, he has appeared on ABC's Emmy Award-winning Shark Tank Season 9 and had a lead role in an award-winning independent motion picture. Currently, he practices medicine in Saint Louis, Missouri.
