Old Man Mellow sits on the throne at Northtop Castle and is the ruler of Angelplot in the mid-tenth century. He is famous all over the world and his only daughter, Elizabeth, is destined to be just as great a ruler as he is.

But Elizabeth is not ready.

He sends her across the sea, in search of a handsome prince, in the hope that what she learns on her journey will make her ready to take up the mantle of ruler of Angelplot.

This is a story that reminds us that beauty is not only what is on the surface, but also what lies beneath. It reminds us that positives can be found, even among the ashes of tragedy.

Author Bio

Paul Shipton lives in Vancouver with his young daughter, Elizabeth. One of Paul's great pleasures is to spend quality time with her.
Paul has always had a passion for entertaining and for storytelling, as well as a desire to teach his daughter and her peers how to equip themselves with the tools required for a fulfilling, happy and successful life.

He believes that whatever life challenges you with, perseverance and commitment to your goals will guide you to success. It is these things that have led him into the world of children's literature.
