In a friendly race between Speedsters, KID FLASH and the FLASH zoom through CENTRAL CITY at nearly the speed of light. Suddenly, the startled young super hero screeches to a stop. A strange shadow is overtaking the sky. As the city becomes enveloped in near-total darkness, the Flash realizes that only one man could be behind the evil event . . . the SHADE.
