Description

The fifth book about Jake Cake and his EXTRAORDINARY adventures. Here are three more hilarious stories, written in Jake Cake's own notebooks and embellished with his very funny comments and illustrations. It's not Jake's fault that he gets cursed by the ghost of Old Crusty, the fierce pirate (get those decks swabbed!), meets an alien pretending to be his granny and rubs up against a really mean genie!

Author Bio

Michael studied Illustration at Portsmouth University. He has created picture books for Puffin Books and Hodder. He has also illustrated work by other authors including The Secret Diaries series for Egmont, and some poetry books for Macmillan. An exciting new talent, Michael Broad previously worked in animation. Broken Bird is his first picture book and the style was inspired by his visit to the Turner exhibition at Tate Britain. Michael is also currently working on a series of young fiction for Puffin about the character Jake Cake as well as a second picture book, The Little Star Who Wished. Michael lives in London.
