Kai Makes Money follows a little boy who wants to buy a shiny red train. His mom tells him he has to make money if he wants to buy the train. With his mom as his guide, he explores different ways to make money such as, doing chores and selling cookies. He learns about savings and how his piggy bank can come in handy when he really wants something. It requires resilience to get what he wants, but in the end he learns some valuable money lessons that will serve him well for his life. This book is for kids age 3 to 7.

Author Bio

Kai Makes Money was created after Leah noticed children's books she would read to her kids never addressed money. She wanted to start laying a foundation for understanding that money doesn't grow from trees and if a child wants something, they need to work for it! Her first book addresses basic concepts of how to make money and illustrates these ideas in a fun relatable fashion for kids.

With almost two decades of asset and private wealth management experience, Leah recognizes the importance of being good with money. She is passionate about helping both her clients and children to achieve their life goals. She believes financial literacy education can and should start at a young age. She created a company Good Money Kids (www.goodmoneykids.com) to share tips on how to educate kids about basic money concepts.

Leah is the host of two podcasts. The Everything Money podcast provides timely and topical financial information with a goal of helping listeners to make smart financial decisions. Her Divorce Source with Leah Jones is a podcast with the goal of providing practical guidance related to lifestyle and money to women before, during and after a divorce.
