However, each potential husband must pass her mother's "pea test", whereby Queen Louise hides a pea under their mattress in an attempt to identify the true Prince of Peas. Michael Sedunary has beautifully adapted the English version, retaining the rhyming narrative and whimsical story line. Author Bio

Sylvie Chausse was born in 1953. As a child she was convinced she was born in a book. She loved writing and reading and dedicated much of her time to these activities. Later on in life Sylvie Chausse become a teacher.
