Author Bio

Christine Bronstein is the founder of Nothing But The Truth Publishing an independent publishing imprint specializing in works diverse female authors. She is the author of the Stewie Boom! series of childrens books and founder of A Band of Women, a social network and information website for women. She is a graduate of the Columbia/UC-Berkeley executive MBA program. Her writing has been published on Forbes.com, in The San Francisco Chronicle, and on Maria Shriver's website. Christine has been featured in Elle.com, 7x7 Magazine, and the San Francisco Chronicle. Christine is married to Center For Investigative Reporting Executive Chair Phil Bronstein and is mother to three children. While attending the Rhode Island School of Design, Karen Young discovered the joy that the arts can bring children who suffer from illness. She earned a Masters degree in Art Psychotherapy with a focus of Pediatric Medical Art Therapy, and she had the honor of working at The Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia and The Hospital for Sick Children in Washington DC. She was able to utilize her Art Therapy with children afflicted with serious illnesses to decrease the emotional trauma they experience when diagnosed with cancer, AIDS, cardiac problems, motor vehicle accident injuries, and physical abuse. Her current chapter of life is dedicated to her family, storytelling, creating art, and fundraising in Marin County, CA. Dr. Bill Sears contributed the back of the book tips for parents in this book. William Sears, M.D. has been advising busy parents on how to raise healthier families for over 40 years. He received his medical training at Harvard Medical Schools Childrens Hospital in Boston and The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, the worlds largest childrens hospital, where he was associate ward chief of the newborn intensive care unit before serving as the chief of pediatrics at Toronto Western Hospital, a teaching hospital of the University of Toronto. He has served as a professor of pediatrics at the University of Toronto, University of South Carolina, University of Southern California School of Medicine, and University of California: Irvine. As a father of 8 children, he coached Little League sports for 20 years, and together with his wife Martha has written more than 40 best-selling books (including The Baby Sleep Book) and countless articles on baby care and parenting. He serves as a health consultant for baby magazines, TV, radio and other media, and his AskDrSears.com website is one of the most popular health and parenting sites. Dr. Sears has appeared on over 100 television programs, including 20/20, Good Morning America, Oprah, Today, The View, and Dr. Phil, and was featured on the cover of TIME Magazine in May 2012. He is noted for his science-made-simple-and-fun approach to parenting.
