Three original stories for children who have just started reading on their own. Stories feature wrestling raptors, a hilarious tale of vegetarian dinosaurs and a prehistoric egg hatching in a modern museum. Includes a pronunciation guide to help young readers say the dinosaur names. Humorously illustrated by Cynthia Decker. Part of the Usborne Reading Programme developed with reading experts at the University of Roehampton.
'Irresistible for children learning to read' - Child Education Plus; 'The Usborne Young Reading Program has a lovely selection of classic tales adapted for younger readers. Graded in seven levels, these have just enough stretch in them and yet are not too overwhelming' - The Irish Sunday Independent; 'Crack reading and make confident and enthusiastic readers with this fantastic reading programme' - Julia Eccleshare
Russell Punter was born in Bedfordshire, England. As a boy he enjoyed writing and illustrating his own stories. He later trained as a graphic designer before entering publishing. Since then, he has written over ninety books for children, including original fiction and adaptations of classic novels
