At first it seems like a typical rough morning. Emily Lemon wakes up to realize her mom's new coffee maker is on the fritz. Then she has to walk to school because her dad's car won't start. Emily thinks it's just bad luck but when she gets to school all technology is down and the teachers are acting strange. Emily and her best friend Lewis set out to find her dad a local police officer. But soon things get even more out of control and Emily starts to wonder if she's in the midst of a technological takeover.
