Nine-year-old Mikey heads to the park to play basketball with his brother as they always do, but
this time he will discover something he really likes while heading home. Find out what happens next.
The Boy Who Almost Quit helps kids to understand that sometimes you will come across things that
are hard in life, but you should never give up. Sometimes you may even have to step away, take a
break, and re-visit it later. This book will teach kids to continue going forward
on whatever they want to pursue no matter how hard it may seem. This book also shows the importance of sibling love and support.
Destini Re' born Savannah Parham is a college graduate with a Bachelors of Fine Art in Multimedia. After college, she went on to pursue singing and songwriting. Destini has also spent time working and mentoring kids through the YMCA. She has always had a passion for kids. This started with her own nephews whom she is very close to. Her goal is to continue to inspire and uplift kids through any of her future work. - If it is a part of her, it is sure to be something that will encourage others! -
Amari Sare' is the co-author and nephew of Destini Re'. He is 11 years old and is also very creative and loves instruments, especially the drums. The book loosely resembles a time when he received drums as a gift and struggled to play at first. He learned that if you continue to work hard on something, you will figure it out. He learned this early from doing puzzles with his great grandmother. In his free time, other things he really enjoys are drawing and playing basketball.
