Do you ever notice the spaces between the things around us There is space between breathing in and breathing out, between stars in the night sky, between a question and an answer. In Japanese, this concept is called "ma." When we pause to notice this space between things, we can begin to learn more about the world and even about ourselves. In this interactive book, kids will try activities including tracing the space between images and clapping their hands to listen for the space between claps. As they slow down to connect with the spaces between things, they will learn how to pause, ponder, and embrace mindfulness. The In-Between Book is a creative and thoughtful approach to teaching mindfulness to children, parents, and caregivers. It's a great read one-on-one or perfect for a classroom or storytime.
"An interactive book encouraging mindfulness by noticing the space in between." --Kirkus Reviews
