AGES: 8 plus AUTHOR: A well-loved British actor, with parts as varied as Thomas the Tank Engine voice overs, to doctor, Mike Barret, in the BBC's Holby City, to the formidable Greatjon Umber in HBO's Game of Thrones! Clive Mantle now turns his talent to writing - and what a talent it is! Clive's inspiration to write what is now the first in the series of the Freddie Malone stories came during a charity trek to the Mount Everest Base Camp.
I only received this book today and I quite simply couldn't put it down until I had finished. It drew me in from the first paragraph and I couldn't wait to find out what happened next. Although aimed at young readers, the time travelling adventures of Freddie Malone will be enjoyed by all ages. Can't wait for the next book. -- Wendy A * Amazon *
Star of both stage and screen for over 40 years, Clive Mantle is perhaps best known for playing Little John in Robin of Sherwood, Great Jon Umber in Game of Thrones and Mike Barratt in Casualty. He has voiced over 180 audio books, and voiced animated characters including Gator in Thomas the Tank Engine. Angela Hewitt is one of those rare adults who has kept her vivid, childlike imagination, and this is reflected in her illustrations. Largely self-taught in illustration, she has been drawing since a young age, and with the support of her mum eventually made art her dream career. She loves a good book shop and can spend hours browsing the shelves childrens books being her favourite!
