Author Bio
For native North Carolinian Judy Stead, catching fireflies, building sand dinosaurs, and beachcombing for rare "finds" are fond childhood memories. Her studio in Charlotte overlooks woods that are alive with long leaf pines, dogwood trees, bright red cardinals, and sometimes a visiting family of deer. Rufus, Judy's studio cat, keeps her company while she paints. Judy is the illustrator of several books for young readers, including Summer Wonders, by Bob Raczka (Albert Whitman).
