Description

This Is How We Do It follows the lives of seven REAL kids fromJapan, Uganda, Russia, Iran, Peru, India, and Italy for a singleday.

From the time each kid wakes up until the time they fall asleep, the details of their days differ: their homes are different, theirschools are different, even how they play is different.

In Japan, Kei plays Freeze Tag.

In Uganda, Daphine likes to jump rope.

In Russia, Oleg plays hockey almost every day after school.

But the shared rhythm of their daysand this one world we allshareunite them together.

This genuine exchange between real kids provides a windowinto lifestyles and traditions that may differ from our own, aswell as a mirror reflecting the common experiences that uniteus all. Inspired by his own travels to write this book, MattLamothe will transport readers across the globe and back withthis gorgeously illustrated picture book.

Reviews

" This predominantly pictorial presentation celebrates our commonalities and our uniqueness. With world travel a commonplace nowadays, the book offers a great way to expand children's horizons giving them insights into particular ways of life in addition to those in countries they might themselves visit." * Red Reading Hub *
