Sara is fifteen and secretly in love with Kel Pearson. Her dad is a Meatball. Kel s dad is a Meatball too. Coneheads analyse data and make recommendations to local governments. Together they make up an AusDAR team Disaster Assessment and Relief (Australian Division) experts in Disaster Casualty Minimisation. They ve just been asked to go to the exotic Andes to gauge the safety of the new gas and oil pipeline being dug through the base of a sleepy little extinct volcano called Mt Cumbal. June Colbert came to Australia from the UK at the age of six. She obtained a BA and Dip. Ed. at Sydney University and became a secondary teacher of English, French and Music, before moving into the commercial sector. She has been purchasing supervisor, a foster carer, and a nanny. Her first short story was published in the NSW School Magazine in 2001 and her first novel was the very successful The King of Large. She is also the author of The Last Boy (Lothian Books, 2006). June lives in Berkeley Vale, New South Wales.
