The story of Salamanca Hiddle, travelling across the United States with her eccentric grandparents in search of the mother who left home and never returned, was an instant success on its publication in 1994 and has sold millions of copies worldwide. On her journey, Sal tells the story of her friend Phoebe - a girl of wild imaginings - but beneath Sal's funny anecdotes is the deeper story of Sal's own mother's disappearance. Walk Two Moons ensured Sharon Creech's status as one of today's most talented children's writers.
"A really satisfying book - funny, poignant, cunning in the unravelling of its mysteries." The Observer"
