When they learn that Adam Tolentino, football star, drama-club nemesis and the cutest boy in school, was there too, Hallie is given the task of finding out what he knows but she soon learns theres more to Adam than meets the eye. Although still grieving her favourite teacher, Hallie knows the show must go on. Managing a musical and a murder investigation is a lot, but Hallie and her friends wont give up on Ms Lovelace or each other.

Author Bio

Meg Gatland-Veness is a high school drama teacher. She attended the University of Newcastle where she studied a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Secondary Teaching. Meg has been reading and writing stories for as long as she can remember. Equal to her love of words is her passion for championing local youths and fostering important conversation about issues facing young Australians today. Meg was born in Milton, a small Australian town and now lives on the Central Coast of New South Wales. When shes not writing novels, youll most likely find her at rehearsals for the latest show shes directing or tending to her garden. Meg is the author of I Had Such Friends (2018), which was shortlisted for the ABIA Small Publishers Childrens Book of the Year in 2019, When Only One (2022) and Whats Murder Between Friends (2024).
