Hi, I'm Helix. I'm twelve years old and the worst caveman-to-be that Rockfall has ever seen. I'm even less cavemanly than my lazy bonehead brother, whose hobby is grooming his nose hair. It's almost time for my Arrival. I'll be expected to disappear into the woods and return with something big, dangerous or rare - preferably all three. My best friend Ug is preparing for his Arrival too. He has the strength of a hungry rhinovore so he will no doubt bring back something impressive. Author Bio

Damean Posner (Author) Damean Posner lives in Melbourne with his wife, daughter, amphibious spaniel and a small brood of chickens. He has had work published in The School Magazine, a play performed at the Sydney Short+Sweet theatre festival and short stories published in various journals. He is a keen gardener and outdoorsy type. His special interest is archaeology, which is evidenced by the holes in his backyard. Jules Faber (Illustrator) Jules Faber is a multi-award-winning cartoonist and illustrator. He has published numerous comic strips, worked for various newspapers, taught cartooning around Australia, been in multiple art exhibitions and has worked as a Disney animator. Jules has served three terms as President of the Australian Cartoonists Association, the world's oldest cartoonist's organisation. And on top of all that, he loves illustrating children s books, including Anh Do s WeirDo series (Scholastic), Helix and the Arrival by Damean Posner and the new Leo da Vinci series by Michael Pryor.
