Satish Shewhorak was born in the North West and spent his summers in sunny Mauritius, the tropical paradise where his parents were born. Before turning full time writer, Gabrielle was a videogame developer and lecturer. Satish ran an animation studio before earning his doctorate in motion capture and becoming a games animation lecturer. Gabrielle also writes middle grade, including Knights and Bikes, and the Alfie Bloom series, under the name Gabrielle Kent. Together, they write fun-filled adventure books in between arguing about the order in which they are going to introduce their daughter to Star Wars movies.
