Description

A catastrophe of good and bad manners and the girl stuck in the middle. When Izzy Winkle - The Most Grateful Girl in the World - enters a competition to find The Most Ungrateful Girl in the World, she is plunged into a hidden society of secret agents, brave pigeons and warring manners. Daphne du Bois, Etiquette Queen of the Southern Hemisphere, says children should be seen and not heard. Horace Unthank, Professor of Appalling Behaviour, says children should roll in mud, helter-skelter down hills, chew furiously, spit words while chewing furiously ... With the help of her best friend Katie Skittle, Izzy must beat the Top Ten Ungrateful Girls. And save the world from fibs, nits and rudeness.

Author Bio

Petra James (Author) Petra James is the author of several middle-grade novels, such as the Arkie Sparkle series and Hapless Hero Henrie. Originally from a small town in New Zealand, she spent three years in the United Kingdom before moving to Australia, where she has worked in publishing ever since. Unlike the Ungrateful Girls in this story, she is very polite and well mannered. Anna Zobel (Illustrator) Anna Zobel lives in Melbourne's west with her partner and their chatty cat Harriet. When she's not writing or illustrating, Anna enjoys a variety of stimulating hobbies including reading, gardening, and eating. She is inspired by the children she has encountered as a babysitter, after-school care assistant and teacher, and strives to represent them in her work.
