Have you ever seen an ostrich What a silly looking birdBut working in a library Now that is just absurdAnd so begins our epic tail. LITERALLY! Have you seen ostrich tail feathers They're HUUUGE!Have You Ever Seen An Ostrich is a wonderfully wacky and whimsical what if about Dewey, an ostrich who works in a library. This idea, sparked by an image of a Chinese library, quickly developed into a story that we wanted to share with the wild imaginations of kids, and kids at heart. Dewey teaches us to be curious and excited about learning without dismissing the childlike essence of fun and silliness. Creativity and curiosity are things we cherish and hope to encourage in our readers. Our individual journeys have left us with a great love for libraries and children's books. As kids, we found wonder in their pages, which helped us see our world in a wonderful way. Children's books introduce profound and thought-provoking concepts in such simple ways. We wanted to take that sense of wonder and put it on pages of our own making. And thus, Dewey was born.
