Author Bio

Glenda Bibbins is a New Orleans native, a Licensed Professional Counselor, the Owner of Windows of Opportunities Behavioral Health Services, and Owner of GRB Publishing. As a former elementary school teacher, her love for reading began at an early age and her gift for creative writing soon followed. As she embarked on building her career, she placed her dream of becoming a published author on the back burner. She is overjoyed that her dream has now come to fruition.I am a New Orleans native. Growing up, I was a huge fan of art in general. I noticed about the time I was in third grade that I was able to create art pieces from simply looking at a picture or from images in my head. I used to sketch and doodle every day. I recall sketching from comic books, cartoon characters, magazines, and memory. I would follow my imagination to wherever it took me. By the time I was in fifth grade I realized that my skills were developing more. I believe I got my artistic abilities from my mom who is a talented artist and is extremely crafty. I became inspired by my and my mom's talent and decided to establish Dwyer Creations in 2013. I started experimenting with acrylic paint to create canvas pieces. I have created a variety of customized artwork for my clients. I am an Artist Market Vendor, and my art collection includes New Orleans utility box artwork, Zulu coconut painting and designs for Mardi Gras, commissions, professional wall murals for business and private customers, portraits, original paintings, as well as a variety of other artwork and media formats. I push and challenge my skills to continue to expand and grow in my profession. I remain humble and I am extremely thankful for every opportunity I am blessed with. This is my first published illustration work, and I am excited and looking forward to adding this art form to my professional artistic endeavors.
