Author Bio

A British-American citizen of Italian heritage, Alexia Casale is an author, writing consultant and teacher living in Buckinghamshire. After an MA in Social & Political Sciences and then an MPhil in Educational Psychology & Technology, both at Cambridge University, she took a break from academia and moved to New York. There she worked on an award-winning Broadway show before returning to England to complete a PhD and teaching qualification (full PGCHEP). She now works as Director of YA Shot: a young adult and children's literature festival with a large outreach programme providing free author visits to libraries paired with disadvantaged local schools. Her books for adults and teenagers have received multiple awards nominations and critical acclaim and include The Best Way to Bury Your Husband for adults and The Bone Dragon and Sing if You Can't Dance for YA.
