Story is written by Fawzia Gilani, who authored two popular books: CINDERELLA AN ISLAMIC TALE and SNOW WHITE AN ISLAMIC TALE.
An uplifting story that will introduce children to the idea of a religious pilgrimage, the Hajj in Islam, and the Kaaba.
A simple story that has a very touching ending: after many unsuccessful attempts to perform Hajj - because he keeps finding himself helping others on the way - Yann becomes old and incapable of saving for the trip again. However, an orphan he frees from his master earlier in the book returns to his farm and carries him to the Kaaba.
Includes a glossary to explain any Islamic terms in the book.
Features positive Muslim characters.
Set in a 'fairy-tale'/'folkish' setting that feels instantly recognizable.
