A work of staggering genius'' - David Walliams If you've done six impossible things this morning, why not round it off with breakfast at Milliways, the Restaurant at the end of the Universe Which is exactly what Arthur Dent and the crew of the Heart of Gold plan to do. There's just the small matter of escaping the Vogons, avoiding being taken to the most totally evil world in the Galaxy and teaching a space ship how to make a proper cup of tea. And did anyone actually make a reservation

Reviews

One of the greatest achievements in comedy. A work of staggering genius -- David Walliams
Dazzlingly inventive -- Caitlin Moran
I havent known many geniuses in my life. Some brilliantly smart people, but only a tiny handful would I class as geniuses. I would class Douglas, because he saw things differently, and he was capable of communicating the way he saw things, and once he explained things the way he saw them, it was almost impossible to see them the way you used to see them -- Neil Gaiman
Hitchhikers is packed with that unique energy, all barmy and bristling and bold. This book can be witty, iconoclastic, godless, savage, sweet, surreal, but above all, it dares to be silly. Fiercely, beautifully silly -- Russell T. Davies, writer and producer of Doctor Who
This dazzlingly entertaining fantasy is stunningly illustrated by former Children's Laureate and political cartoonist Chris Riddell in a lavishly produced gift edition. * The Daily Mail *
The stunning black and white illustrations, which are plentifully dispersed throughout the pages, are filled with comedy and serve to bring to life this galivanting, galactic caper. Perfect for sci-fi comedy fans everywhere, this book would make an out of this world gift. * Mini Travellers *
