The Goldies , as they are known, are fed golden perch until they become big and fat. Once they lose their down, they turn black and white. Before long, however, Cedar discovers her penguin friends have been frozen and their eggs have gone missing! Eleanor Coombe developed a fascination for legends and metaphysics while she studied at university, and has since travelled widely exploring the myths of different countries. She is the author of many successful children s books and games, which she has licensed and sold through Mattel, Pancake Press, Funtastic and Landsdowne, and in 2000 was awarded a Distinguished Alumni Award by Canberra University for her contribution to children s literature and games. She is the author of The Ultimate Fairy Book (published by Pan Macmillan) and lives in Tasmania. Andrew Smith worked as an assistant lecturer in psychology and only drew for himself until it occurred to him that he may be able to earn a living doing what he loves. He has since worked as a web and graphic designer and is now a (self-taught) freelance illustrator. He lives in Melbourne with his wife, three kids, two cats and two guinea pigs.
