Author Bio

Ashley is a creative and compassionate woman, daughter, sister, partner, friend and colleague. She is inspired by much in life, though most recently by the adventures of motherhood and the journey required to raise her two strong daughters (though she does certainly love traveling too, by plane, train, or automobile)! Ashley is a genetic counselor and educator by training who enjoys the nuances of human behavior such as dreaming, laughing, breathing in the great outdoors, expressing simple acts of kindness and dancing like nobody is watching. Last but not least, she loves writing children's stories, namely Gilly and Zilly, with her mother, Jocy.Jocy Mills is a poet, writer and author of the new short story Gilly & Zilly and the Colorful Crew. A professionally trained psychologist, Jocy spent the last few decades using her degree to raise four independent incredible daughters. Together with her daughter Ashley, mom to Jocy's two toddler granddaughters, they have written a short story that will capture the heart and imagination of all children (and their parents) who love adventure, making new friends, and following their dreams.
