Author Bio

Belinda Murrell (Author) At about the age of eight, Belinda Murrell began writing stirring tales of adventure, mystery and magic in hand-illustrated exercise books. As an adult, she combined two of her great loves - writing and travelling the world - and worked as a travel writer, journalist and public relations consultant. Now, inspired by her own three children, Belinda is an award-winning, internationally published children's author with a history of writing in her family that spans over 200 years. She has illustrated over seventy titles from picture books to middle grade readers, and is about to step into the colourful world of graphic novels. Some of Serena's work includes the Lulu Bell series, We Are Matildas and her most recent comic series Miles From Home. As a Disney artist she worked on sequels to the Lion King, Peter Pan, The Little Mermaid and Jungle Book which has enabled her to capture emotion and movement with her characters and illustrations.
