The debut middle-grade nonfiction book from New York City Ballet dancer Tiler Peck Go backstage with Tiler Peck and learn about her life, her career, and the world of ballet. Tiler gives you an inside look at what life is really like as one of the world's most famous ballerinas as she shares stories about when she realised she wanted to be a ballerina, how she breaks in her pointe shoes, and what she does before a performance to prepare. She also delves into more personal topics including puberty, periods, and nutrition to tackle some of the subjects that ballet dancers in training are preoccupied by, but might struggle to talk to their peers or parents about. XO Ballerina Big Sis is perfect for tweens taking ballet classes as well as parents and caregivers wanting to find ways to talk with kids about dance and growing up. Tiler Peck truly is the big sister you've always wanted!
